Are speeding vehicles affecting the quality of life where you live?

Dear Resident,

🚗 Anti-Social Driving in the Nedge Area 🚨

The Nedge Safer Neighbourhood Team has received a noticeable increase in calls about anti-social driving. Residents and road users have reported issues such as:

  • Excessive speeding
  • Loud music from vehicles
  • Groups of vehicles gathering in large numbers
  • Horn sounding and engine revving
  • Such behaviour not only causes disruption but also risks public safety. Under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002, officers can issue warnings to:

  • The driver and registered keeper of the vehicle
  • Any other vehicle the driver is found to be using
  • 🔹 If caught again after receiving a Section 59 warning, the vehicle may be seized and destroyed.
🔹 Anti-social driving can also result in penalty points on your driving licence.

We are committed to keeping our roads safe and will continue to patrol the area to deter and act on this behaviour. 👮‍♂️🚓

📣 Help us take action: If you witness anti-social driving, report it. Every call helps us protect our community and makes a real difference. You can report this via 101 or email the team directly nedge.snt@westmercia.police.uk. If it is happening now and poses an immediate danger, please don't hesitate to call it through on 999.

Let’s work together for safer streets!
